Ashadeep Dharmarth Sewa Samiti, Muzaffarnagar was established in the year 1993 by the motivation of Dr. Arun Kumar Gupta- Head of Psychiatry Deptt. Dr. Ram Monohar Lohia Hospital New Delhi, presently working in U.K. as Consultant.

Ashadeep Dharmarth Sewa Samiti is an autonomous body constituted under society Act 1860.The Deptt. of handicapped welfare Govt. of U.P. has granted recognition in the year 1998.It is also registered by National Trust Govt. of India, New Delhi and FOREIGN CONTRIBUTION ACT.

Ashadeep Dharmarth Sewa Samiti is a member of District Local Level Committee. The samiti is registered under section 12A and 80G of Income Tax Act 1961.It is being run totally on public donation and no aid is being given from Govt. or any other sources.

Presently there are 310 life members and 160 monthly donors. Recurring expenditure is Rs 1 lakh per month and this expenditure is met out by respected donors.

Mental retardation (MR)” means a condition of arrested or incomplete development of mind of a person which is specially characterised by subnormality of intelligence.

Our Objectives

To render social activities for the welfare of needy persons including arrangment of training to mentally and other impaired children and helping the aged persons, widows, family planning & medical assistance to the general public.

Mental retardation is not a disease but a condition. An impaired child needs your help,but not sympathy. An impaired person can also be useful to the society if trained properly.

FUTURE PLAN

Institution plans to help widows and for future speedy progress of the institution, a well equipped workshop with some more facilities of indoor games and physiotherapy equipments, vocational training equipments, construction of remaining building and a centre for physically handicapped children is needed for which Rs. 50.5 Lakh are further required.
